Dandruff : It refers to itchy falky scap. It occurs due to constant shedding of dead skin cells. It can’t be cured but can only be managed and controlled.
Remedies:
a) Massage regularly a mixture of lemon juice and coconut oil on the scalp. Keep it there for some time and wash it using warm water
b) Daily massage your hair using a mixture of castor oil, almond oil and coconut oil. Wash it after 2 or 3 hours
Hair Fall : An increased hair fall may be due to improper diet, psychological problems such as stress, depression, anxiety etc or due to some environmental factors.
Remedies:
a) Have a diet rich in fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains and diary products
b) Massaging daily with coconut oil is also good for hair
Early graying : Many factors contribute to premature graying. It could be due to genetical factors, imbalanced diet,vitamin deficiency, consumption of heavy alcohol or tobacco,acidic foods and also due to environmental factors.
Remedies:
a) Mix some grated ginger with honey and eat it regularly
b) Onion juice is also a good remedy for premature graying.
c) Daily application of coconut oil boiled with curry leaves or goose berry is also effective in retaining the natural colour of the hair.
Itchy scalp : Certain factors such as hereditary factor, environmental pollution, stress , hormonal imbalance contribute to an itchy red scalp.
Remedies:
- Massaging your hour with a mixture of olive oil and almond oil is a good remedy for itchy scalp
- Lemon juice is also effective against itchy scalp. Apply it gently on your scalp daily before washing your hair
- Applying aloe vera juice also helps in reducing the itchy scalps
