How to get rid of dandruff

Everyone longs for healthy hair. But often certain factors like poor diet, severe stress, pollution and extreme weather may make our hair weak and dry. This may pave the way for many hair problems like split ends, hair loss and breakage. In severe cases it may lead to a skin rash known as dandruff. It is one of the awful skin rashes that affect everyone, regardless of  their age. It mainly affects the scalp and causes flakes of skin to appear. In some cases it also affects the eye brows and beard. It is mainly caused by the excessive shedding of dead skin cells. The dandruff becomes more noticeable when it falls on your shoulders over your dark dress.  It can also be caused by frequent exposure to extreme temperature. Also a fungus called malassezia that feeds on healthy scalp is also a promoter of dandruff. Some studies have shown that heredity also plays an important role in the development of dandruff. Also several factors like oily scalp, poor hygiene, irregular hair wash, moist weather, stress and certain diseases could make the dandruff worse. Though dandruff does not promote hair loss, it could make the scalp itchy and reddish. But in extreme conditions you could experience constant itching with heavy hair loss.

So what can we do to prevent dandruff? Dandruff is a non curable disease. Once you got it, you can’t avoid it but can only be kept under control by proper care. Most experts suggest that natural treatment is the best method to control dandruff. To get rid of dead skin cells it is necessary to wash the hair frequently. Nowadays there are many shampoos available in the market. Choose mild, natural shampoo preferably with anti bacterial properties. You could use Face Doctor Hair & Scalp Antibacterial shampoo for this purpose. It has been clinically proven to reduce the dandruff and promote a thick and lustrous hair. Also its active ingredient Sea Buck Thorn oil gently soothes your hair and makes your hair strands strong from root to tip. Make sure that the shampoo has enough time to stay on your scalp so that the ingredients will get enough time to work. Thus it eliminates other hair problems like split ends, breakage etc. Wash your hair at least twice a week. But if the condition becomes worse then never hesitate to see a doctor. Sometimes it could be the symptom of some other underlying diseases.
