Balanced diet rich in all nutrients. Food we consume has a major role in preventing aging. Our body needs right amount of vitamins, minerals, proteins and essential fatty acids to appear young and youthful. Include a lot of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables which are great sources of antioxidants in your diet. This can help you fight against free radicals which are responsible for skin damage leading to aging. Fish is a good source of omega fatty acids which can aid in cellular rejuvenation. Drink plenty of water. Water is indispensable for all our body processes and about 60% of our body constitutes water. Water can flush out toxins from our body and also is essential for the nutrients to reach in our body cells. Make a habit of drinking about 8 glasses of water a day or even more. Apply sunscreen lotions. Though sun exposure is good for getting some vitamin D for your skin. Excessive exposure of UV rays can increase the free radicals in your body which in turn can damage healthy skin cells and tissues. So apply a gentle sunscreen while you are out. It is ideal to choose one which is having SPF of 15 or even higher for better sun protection. Sun damage can easily aggravate age spots and wrinkles and hence avoiding exposure as much as possible would be highly beneficial for you.

Apply skin care products rich in antioxidants. As we age, the body lacks sufficient antioxidants to protect our cells from harmful free radicals. So applying an anti aging product which can supplement the antioxidants externally would be a good option when you age.
