Sea Buckthorn Oil

Why cleaning your skin and scrubbing your skin isn’t the same thing

Whether you’ve had acne your whole life or just went through it in puberty, I’m sure we have this mistake in common: scrubbing your face as hard as you could to get rid of all the pimples.

Well, they do say keeping your skin clean is part of the solution but you’ve never heard someone say you should scrub it like there’s no tomorrow, did you? In fact, people with chronic cases of acne should ditch exfoliating and concentrate on gently cleaning their skins once or twice daily (depending on how much excess oil your skin produces every day).

I used to buy every new exfoliating cream that was released in the market and used to wonder why it never worked out. In fact, my skin would look worse after a couple of weeks using it. As always, I thought there was a problem with me and I would never find a product that would help me.

The day someone told me to try a natural acne soap instead and suggested FaceDoctor, I didn’t think much of it. I was under the impression that if an exfoliating cream irritated my skin, then a very mild soap wouldn’t do anything. I remember telling them I needed an in-between kind of product, not a natural acne treatment. That wouldn’t solve it.

Little did I know that FaceDoctor’s sea buckthorn oil soap would completely change my life and my acne-related issues. I think it was the first time in my life that my skin didn’t react badly to a product. I remember not being used to it! Was it working? Would it last? Would my acne come back twice as bad?

Spoiler alert: it didn’t. It was the first time I ever felt my skin so soft and hydrated. I now know the concept of a perfectly hydrated skin.
