5 Natural Acne Scar Treatments

Everyone who has suffered, or perhaps is still suffering from acne, knows how this skin condition can affect your life in the bad sense of the word and as if the condition itself isn’t bad enough, it has the ability to leave behind permanent scars to remind you of the ordeal for the rest of your life. In order to prevents this from happening I am going to share five ways to remove acne scarring using only natural remedies.

1. Egg whites

Egg white is quite the potent remedy in terms of healing scarring tissue. Not only will it speed up the healing process, it will also decrease the visibility of the scars. Egg whites are jam-packed with amino acids and proteins, capable of tightening the pores in order to prevent new acne breakouts from happening. At the same time it will make the scarring tissue lighter and with it the scars less visible. Use this remedy three times a week.

2. Baking soda

Baking soda is well known for removing dead skin cells and it can do this without irritating the skin any further. To use this remedy make a paste from it using only water and baked soda. Massage it onto the skin and leave it on for approximately one minute, after which you wash it off using hand warm water. Afterwards use a moisturizer in order to soothe the inflamed skin.

3. Lemon juice

Lemon juice contains citric acid and belongs to the so called Alpha Hydroxy Acids(AHAs). This type of acid is well known for cosmetic usage and therefore is an ingredient in many over the counter skin care products, like: anti aging creams and chemical peels. However, in its pure state lemon juice can be applied to the affected areas of the skin using a cotton swab. Repeat this two to three times a week in order to remove dead skin cells and speed up the healing process.

4. Aloe Vera juice

Aloe Vera extract is well known for cleaning, soothing and healing the skin. It is therefore the perfect acne scarring removal remedy. Not only does it soothe the irritated skin, it also boosts the human immune system and speeds up the regeneration of skin tissue that is damaged. Using Aloe Vera decreases the chances of the acne breaking out again significantly. Aloe Vera gel can be purchased at health stores but the Aloe Vera plant can also easily be grown in your own back yard.

5. Olive Oil

Olive Oil comes jam-packed with several different vitamins, iron and has been proven to be a main ingredient in anti-aging products. The high levels of anti-oxidants make it anĀ  excellent anti-inflammatory treatment to help preventing acne from breaking out in the first place. It also can effectively remove acne scars. It soothes the inflamed skin without clogging the pores and is known to dissolve dirt and oil in already clogged pores opening them up again. Simply massage the oil onto the affected areas and use a warm wash cloth to put over your face in order to steam open the pores. repeat this process twice and after the second time apply the oil for the last time leaving it on for approximately a quarter of an hour before going to sleep.
